About Us

Dr Tom Savvoulidis was born in Germany and migrated to Australia in 1979. He graduated in 1989 from Adelaide University with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and began surgical training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in 1991. He was accepted into the orthopaedic training program and became a Fellow of the College of Surgeons in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2001. He further improved his skills by attending various centres in France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In 2005 he attained his Masters Certificate in Orthopaedic Surgery, Advanced Techniques, in Switzerland.
Dr Savvoulidis has a special interest in arthroscopic surgery and minimally invasive surgery (MIS). Arthroscopic surgery of joints has evolved over the last 30 years and he currently uses the latest techniques available for most problems involving joints of the upper and lower limb (this includes endoscopic surgery, for example carpal tunnel median nerve compression release).
